Inside the Creative Process
Every work begins with an intuition, a spark that ignites in silence: an image still undefined, taking shape in the mind and asking to be translated into color, gesture, and matter.
In this section, I wish to share not only the final result, but also the journey itself: the most authentic and vital part of my work, the moment when everything is still in motion.
As I paint, the space around me transforms into a laboratory of emotions, research, and experimentation. Every brushstroke becomes an attempt, every imperfection a necessary step. Time seems to slow down and, within the concentration of the gesture, intuition and technique, control and surrender meet.
It is precisely in these moments that the artwork begins to breathe: it is not yet complete, yet it already starts to reveal something about me about the way I observe, perceive, and feel.
Work in progress is not merely a stage of creation, but a metaphor for our own nature: we are beings in constant transformation, suspended between what has been and what is about to emerge.
To reveal the behind the scenes process means opening a window onto creation itself, into that space where art is not yet “perfect,” but profoundly alive.
This image portrays me in the moment when everything happens: hands marked by color, a mind immersed in the creative gesture, the canvas beginning to respond. It is here that an idea takes shape and becomes visual storytelling, through a continuous dialogue between thought and matter.
Every completed artwork carries invisible traces of this journey: corrected mistakes, reconsiderations, sudden intuitions, and unexpected transformations. Sharing a work in progress means paying tribute to that part of the process that often remains hidden, yet preserves the true soul of creation.
